We all have that hesitation- sometimes we're afraid to speak up or are afraid to start something new and achieve a goal.
Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel was also once an idea, in fact, a brilliant one. Our CEO, Nzinga Knight, loved the idea of sharing her bright idea based on a family recipe with over 400 years of Caribbean heritage with the world.
Nzinga gathered her courage with her self-determination because she knew she was onto something great. She self-funded her small business and the rest was history.
This business went from serving 196 customers online in 2019 and now we've reached over 20,000Â orders! We would love to serve more of our customers.
Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel funds its own business. We do not have our investors.
WHY?
Because Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel is not just a drink, but a way to connect people and foster authentic happiness. It is a drink that can be shared with anyone, regardless of their drinking habits or preferences.

As we’re growing and times have changed once again post-COVID we need to rise to the occasion of new challenges. During COVID we made a fast pivot that allowed us to continue to stand the test of time like our over 400-year recipe. Post-COVID has brought its new realities too like inflation spikes and wholesale/ retail demands. We must must level up to remain a viable business (hint: increase production to keep costs and our price to you in balance and beat the large inflation spikes + increase our distribution).
