Between Edges, AI & Everything In Between

We really do have a lot going on… big and small.

We sat there and spoke calmly as ladies until one of us finally broke out and said: Between trynna grow my edges back, not get replaced by AI, and make slow-cooked meals for me and my family I really do have a lot going on right now! Not to mention that my parents are getting old and acting up halfway across the country!

Daddy don’t wanna take his meds… humph!

She said: Seriously…..!
Me too!
I have a lot of serious and unserious things to attend to myself and right now & it all seems to matter. And then she listed hers and it went:

Waist-length hair (Really friend… cause you always have a weave?!)
Now that she’s married, have her 2nd child at 45. (Her one and only is her 26 year-old bestie)

And also not get replaced by bots.

You know, if it aint one thing it’s the next.

We barely even had time to talk about the war in Iran and whether Professor Jiang’s predictions are really predictions or conspiracies on behalf of the Chinese government.

Who knows?... but they’re interesting!

The AI part had us laughing and weeping the most, as we had delayed sympathy for our parents who struggled to adapt to the internet in the early and mid-2000s back when they were in their mid-40s.

And also, SURPRISE! Underneath her bundles, friend had mid-back length hair growing, proving once again that there really is more than meets the eye. (wink)

But the very best part, the non-controversial, worry-free part was that we were able to get together over delicious non-alcoholic Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel drinks. There was no stress there. Nothing to prepare. Just something to be present with as we were present for each other.
