The perfect sorrel and cheese pairings

Cheese pairings at Stinky Brooklyn

While doing our demo/ tasting event at Stinky Bklyn (one of our retailers- they specialize in cheese and charcuterie) I experienced something that really rocked my world... okay, my tastebuds to be specific. It’s that Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel pairs really well with cheese, specifically the savory and rich cheeses that we paired Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel with at Stinky Bklyn. Whoa!

People say Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel tastes better than wine. How amazing that it pairs well with certain foods just like wine does!

I’d always heard of wine and cheese pairing- which as someone who doesn't drink wine I'd never experienced. A friend and customer Aaisha once tipped me off to the idea that Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel might go well with cheese.

Patrick, the owner of Stinky recommended I try a few Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel and cheese combos. As I tasted the Comté, Ossau iraty, Idia Zabal cheeses and glacier blue (a blue cheese) and a Gouda and then followed each bite with sips of Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel I entered a world that I don’t think I can come back from. The world of #BKSorrel and cheese pairing. The savory richness of these cheeses paired with the floral, fruity sweetness and spicy savoriness of our sorrel was a pure delight. It was heaven. Try pairing a quality cheese with your next sip of Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel. I'd love to know what you think.
