Diary of this CEO Episode 1

While I’m still loving and appreciating my big move to the great state of California which kinda felt like being whisked away into good weather and beautiful scenery & places with husbae (duas answered ✅), I truly appreciate that my life, perhaps the 1st 1/2 of my life started in NYC! 

The sharpness, creativity, style, connections, grit and drive that became me was molded here. And as I’ve lived my 1st year happily married & as somewhat of a housewife coasting with entrepreneurship, I have so much of who I’ve been, what I know and who I’m becoming to lean into. And Allah is so kind for lining it all up for me: a business retreat (time to learn, plan and implement), being a panelist at #ThriveSummit2025- a time to give and also learn and connect with Muslim business leaders.

Recently I rehired my best assistant VA, I flew into NY early to attend my coach Rachel Rodgers and the Hello7 team’s Mastermind, had my sweet 26 yo artist friend Sarah M over for dinner, lit up my 23 year old Neice and her bestie with a recap of some of what I learned at the retreat, went to an album listening party, ordered amazing Nigerian food 2 days in a row (1st time having Suya), and have been going on walks with my dad- feeling so happy with his progressive strength as he’s overcoming health issues. 

Life is many things and also what we make it. Opportunities, we have to take it! I’m happy to keep my faith and raise my Duas daily. Next stop Texas! Inshallah 🤠
