Enjoying Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel chai at Ras Plant Based
Since last February, we've worked with one of our wonderful partners, Ras Plant Based. Ras carries Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel for their nonalcoholic menu, and they have purchased a total of 120 bottles of our 25oz size sorrel from our Faire wholesale store.
Last mother's day, when choosing where I would take my mother for dinner, I looked through the restaurants from our stock listing. Aside from I wanted to treat my mom to a delicious date, I also wanted to see which of those who carry Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel we could patronize and enjoy for Mother's day.
From the list of some of the best restaurants in the country serving our sorrel, my eye caught Ras Plant Based. I then went to their Instagram page and realized they're this amazing vegan, Ethiopian-themed restaurant in Crown Heights.
With further research, I learned that their co-owner, Romeo, was a semi-finalist in James Beard Award for "Best Chef in New York State," making me even more excited to try their food. So after a day of horseback riding, my mom and I dressed up and went to Ras Plant Based.
Upon entering the Ras, we immediately notice the welcoming decors and beautiful Ethiopian paintings. The food was even more delightful than the decor. Everything was delicious to the point we had an emotional reaction to the delightful way spices were put together and how incredibly delicious everything was.
Some of my favorites from the menu were the sambusa and injera chips with avocado dip.
Curious how they're using Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel, we ordered a sorrel iced chai mixer which was really refreshing and satisfying! The total dining experience was amazing! We were not vegetarian, but we loved everything!
So If you're going around Crown Heights and looking to dine with Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel mixers, this is a place we really recommend. Check it out and enjoy!
