The Ginger Infusion Recipe (aka simple syrup) for Mocktails and Cocktails
Ginger adds complexity, depth and spice to any drink! Use this ginger simple syrup recipe to create our popular Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel Sparkling Ginger Infusion.
Preparation time: 25 minutes Yield: 10 tablespoons
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup ginger, peeled and chopped
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine ginger, sugar and water. Stir occasionally until sugar has dissolved. Let it simmer for a few minutes and do not let boil.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let it simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes allowing the ginger to infuse into the syrup.
- Use strainer to remove the ginger and transfer to a glass container.
